My name is Zvi,
I am six and a half years old. I was given Gimatriks, a new game with bags of letters and numbers. I know a little about numbers and letters. I saw that each letter has a number, which my grandfather told me is the “Gimatry ” value of the letter. This number was given many years ago based on the greek system of counting in letters, and that is the reson the game is called gimatriks :gama – the third letter in Greek has the value three – tria in their language. Even in arabic they know the system call ABJAD, meaning “the first letters of the arab alfabet”. .
The first letter is an Aleph and has number 1 below it, the last letter is a Tav, and has a number of 400 below on the tile.in Eglish, the letter A is 1 …z is 900. very simple!.
I learned my name, in Hebrew has a number=102.When my dad returned from shopping I showed him my name was worth 102 but his name is Avi and worth less than my name. iIinvited my class mates to come and play with me, some of their parents will join. . I plan to bring gimatriks to school and to introduce it both to my math teaches, my English teacher and Hebrew teacher, because all this lessons are concedered dard and boring to learn, and the gimatriks , which is amusing and challenging a t the same time, will no doubt turn the lessons to be a lot of fun.I hope I will be popular after that!.
Grandpa promised now that when I start to learn English he will buy me Gimatriks In English maybe the gimatriks will be thranslated to arabic too, and it might help me to practice this beautiful language while playing. He told me he can order the game from Miki Herman, telephone:0544550587, at 2 Rakefet St., Petach Tikva or order from [email protected], for 100 Shekels including VAT.
